Do the components require finishing post-print?

The printed components undergo sandblasting to remove excess polymer. Painting and finishing are optional.

HP Jet Fusion 5210 applies polymer in layers of 0.08 mm with a horizontal resolution of 1,200 × 1,200 DPI.

Horizontal resolution is the maximum precision of X- and Y-axis movement of the print-head. A higher number means the component will have a higher level of detail. Vertical resolution is the minimal thickness of the polymer layer applied in one pass. A thinner layer makes for a smoother component surface.
