Client’s problem

Our client urgently needed five sets of parts to make Jedi Sword souvenirs. The items had to be durable, wear-resistant, and highly detailed, with tolerances up to 0.1 mm. Conventional 3D printing techniques couldn’t deliver acceptable quality, while casting was time-consuming and expensive. Also, the task required all items to be manufactured within five days. 

Solution

The client turned to Infomir 3D Printing and provided a 3D model. We printed the parts using the Hewlett Packard Jet Fusion 5210 industrial 3D printing line, with HP PA 12 polyamide as the printing material. This technology enables us to manufacture durable, highly detailed (up to 1,200 DPI) items with an 80-μm-thick layer. 

Result

We printed, painted, and shipped the set of five parts within five days. Each was highly detailed, finely textured, and complied with the technical specifications. Infomir 3D Printing provided the client with high-quality items at an affordable price and on time.
