A new device case
2 sets of 60 g each
Sumix is a U.S.-based company that develops complex optical and visual devices. The main product line includes fiber optic testers: fiber optic connector interferometers, 2D fiber optic connector sensors, and high-speed digital cameras.
The client needed two sets of cases for a new device promptly. Injection molding was time-consuming and unprofitable for the quantity required, and conventional 3D printing didn’t deliver the desired quality.
The client turned to Infomir 3D Printing for help and provided the 3D case model. We made the parts on the Hewlett Packard Jet Fusion 5210 industrial 3D printing line using HP PA 12 polyamide. The technology enables us to manufacture durable and lightweight products that are resistant to UV, moisture, and chemicals.
We completed the order within five business days. Backed by Infomir 3D Printing, Sumix received high-quality products in a short time and also saved money.
